Me and the Objects

''The essence of my first project of the third-year started with a walk down the street on my way home when I noticed a million cracks on the road and on the building walls. These cracks were not pure cracks, they were already filled with wild grass. It looks like nature tries to fix the damaged surfaces and give a new colourful life to them. Inspired by this picture, a more general thought occurred to my mind about the internal human need to repair the things and situations that are important to us. All the above evolved into my Major project idea to give new life to a couple of specific objects that used to belong to people from my family. These people were very close to me and now they are not in life anymore. I reshape their objects by initially destroy them and then create jewellery pieces out of them. I used the Kintsugi technique and the objects I used was a mug, a pair of myopia glasses, a porcelain doll and a vintage plate.''
